Ready, Shoot, Aim

On the Monday following vice president Cheney's hunting accident, when most newspapers began telling the story, the Palo Alto Daily News printed nothing about it. Rather than apologize to readers about not thinking the story deserved the immediate coverage they crave, the editors camoflage their own incompetence.
