The events in London this morning are nothing more than an attack on civilization. Also, they are an attack on our extended family of civilized peoples. This is not about the Olympic bid win by London. This is not about the US and UK presence in Iraq. This is purely about thugs and animals imposing their 15th century views on the entire civilized world. They are only encouraged by our lack of resolve and the voices of dissention only add fuel to their fire.
We need to face the reality that we are in a global war with terrorists and we need to tighten our ranks and stiffen our resolve. Many locals treat the terrorist threat like a mountain lion in our backyard. We are encouraged to consider the mountain lion’s point of view and be more understanding. We are encouraged to be vigilant but co-exist with the threat. After all, we are the problem, not the lion, right? Imagine that you find your children cornered in the yard by a mountain lion and you have the means to eliminate the lion and save your children. What are you going to do? Block University Avenue and mock the police? Hold a seminar? Negotiate? Discuss? Here kitty, kitty, kitty…please leave my family alone…you can have my neighbor’s dog…

The second round of bombings in London this morning (7/21) are another offensive attack on civilization. They continue to be encouraged by our lack of resolve and the voices of dissention only add fuel to their fire. Wake up Palo Alto! This is not about appeasement; we are at war folks....
